Grass Fire in Goshen

On May 24 and 25th Genola Fire Department responded to 2 fires in the Elberta area to help Goshen extinguish them. The Mile Marker 4 fire burnt 84 acres the Tunnel Road Fire was 38 acres in size. At this time it is unknown what started either fire.

2014 Open Burn Fire Dates

RESIDENTIAL BURNING PERMITS:
The open burn days for 2014 are March 30th to May 30th. This is for residential burn permits (2.5 acres and smaller), these permits are obtained though the Department of Air Quality's web page http://www.airquality.utah.gov/Compliance/OpenBurning/index.htm

AGRICULTURAL BURNING PERMITS:
The permits for Agricultural burning may be picked up during our regular meeting times. These dates are the first and third Wednesday's of every month from 7 pm to 10:00 pm, and are good for 2 years from the date obtained.
