J. Cowan joined the Genola Volunteer Fire Department on September 21, 2010. Firefighter Cowan is always willing to learn exactly why and how we do things in fighting fires. Since joining he has been a great asset to the department.
Firefighter Cowan worked hard and finished his training earlier this year by completing the Firefighter I & II program. On December 22, 2012 the department presented him with a coat to show our appreciation for his hours of training.

Capt. Van Moos
Capt. Van Moos joined the Genola Volunteer Fire Department on January 4, 2011, at that time he was already well on his way to a career in the fire service. Having completed his Basic EMT in 2009, and Firefighter I and II in 2010, and in 2012 he finished the Paramedic program at UFRA. Having moved up though the ranks since joining the department by working hard and always willing to break down any doors that needed to be opened! He is currently serving as Capt. over training, and those attending his classes always learn something new. On December 22, 2012 he was given a coat with his name on it to thank him for his hours of service to the residents of Genola.

Santa
We would like to thank all the children that came out to visit Santa this last Saturday. He told the firemen that all the Genola children were being very good this year.
Your Volunteer Fireman wish each one of you a safe, joyful Christmas and a Happy New Year.
